I bought this card to expand the capacity of my MBA (128 GB), without much hope ...
In fact, the read-write performance is really amazing.
I put on that card my library of virtual machines (OSX Fusion) and it works really well.
The initial launch is longer than on a disk but then you will really see the difference.
