Mass Effect 3 - N7 Collector's Edition (Video Game)

Customer Review

I did not think that it is possible Bioware to notice all the little Fehlerchen from Part 1 and 2
and make them disappear. By this I mean little quirks in the game design of its predecessors, who were not big enough to take me to the game or create a lowered rating, but a collection of tiny criticisms that just now really stand out for its complete absence.

1. After finding a new weapon, it is always possible to change the entire arsenal of the entire team. (In ME2 collected a weapon has been automatically selected for the rest of the level, which could be inconvenient)

2. The jerking aboard the Normandy by frequent reloading from ME2 is a thing of the past.

3. The extremely colorful and partly inappropriate loading screens from ME2 were appropriate, really pleasant looking replaced (Ex .: Citadel).

4. In ME2 it was off a mission impossible to test collected weapons before they are used, which was unfavorable because the weapons were in their details like no damage values and. Now there is a shooting range on the Citadel - only for Spectres. ^^

5. Overall, the game runs very smoothly, have seldom a "smooth" seen running console game.
In the intro, there are a couple of points in sequences which are not 100% running smoothly, but that's not for me
Gripe.

6. Finally, there is, in contrast to its predecessors, the opportunity to defend themselves adequately and in close combat - and that feels even damn good. The attacks are visually represented differently depending on the class.

7. There is an automatic Fischfütterer ... ^^

8 rooms and buildings are no longer sterile, there are furniture, a lot of small details and more NPCs.

9. conversations often seem more natural than its predecessors with better facial expressions and gestures of Shepard
and informal conversations - sometimes without lasting epic moments and everyday problems such as the Save the galaxy.

10. The DLC armor from Part 2 are here just to buy "in-game".

11. Who as me in ME1 and ME2 in too many or too few gave pieces of equipment, is well served here. Some parts, such as armor, weapons and modifications lying around, a larger selection can buy.

12. There is a PC-typical "Quick Save" function, which allows it by pressing the "Select" button to save the game without stuttering or going through a menu.

13. Finally, Shepard may pop out by pressing the X button over obstacles out of the barrel.

14. The game features the best "New Game +" that I've ever seen. After one playthrough you can now also import its ME3 character and start the game again, with one level, weapons, Waffenmods, armor, Credits, fish and ship models from the previous round reserves.
...

After selecting a few examples I want to mention, as has been implemented exemplary importing a character from "Mass Effect 2". Man next to each score provides the exact list of all decisions that are made in advance and does not need to remember which character was which, then, therefore. It is also possible despite imported character to change before the game begins the class (Expert, soldier, etc.).

For me as a repeat offender when playing the predecessor, readers of all novels / comics and artbook an interested part 3 is an incredible collection of "aha moments" in the form of constant meetings with old friends, characters from the books that first appear in virtual garment , many insider jokes and reference information based on the "Mass Effect" -Universums.
What I mean to say: Those who have not even played the previous games are likely to understand only station, unless it would any new code entry are read directly, and even then I'm not sure if it would help. At least "Mass Effect 2" should definitely be played before.
Small scenes like the following I mean:

Team is on a planet and a "Yahg" is gesichtet-
-Shepard: "Attention, here comes the next Shadow Broker" -
-Liara T'Soni: "That's not funny" -

...... ^^
The latter paragraph should not be a criticism, I want to warn only newcomers, the quasi anticipate the final, seen as a game total since Part 3 is a single showdown.

Finally, it should be noted that the attention to detail of the game has gained duly, control
is absolutely right and liquid and the synchronization is with a few exceptions consistently succeeded.

To me it is important here to go into the game itself. Whether everyone is happy with the features of the Collector's Edition, I can not properly assess. I think everything is done very classy and was pleasantly surprised. But when I read through my other reviews here, that does not seem to go all the way: Some want as large boxes and art books, I personally do not like it when I'm standing around huge boxes. Therefore, everyone must decide for themselves.

What I do not like:

1. Right to start a paid DLC (9.99), which provides an important character and a new mission appears. When I played this mission, I did not know that
it was this content, since there was no reference to this in the quest log memo. Later I read on the web, and it must be said that this part would definitely belong to the main game. Fans will remember the "Lair of the Shadow Broker" from ME2. Explanation: In the "N7 Collector's Edition" of the DLC is.

2. Why do I have to constantly refuel on the galaxy map my spaceship? - It's frustrating!

3. The "New Game +" is almost perfect: a pity that I can not change my class when importing an ME3 character.

4. There are a whole bunch of "side quests" that are not worthy of the name. I once ran through the entire Citadel and suddenly had about 6 new "Acquire X" quests in the log that are adopted by talking any NPCs in the background, which I totally unrelated to the
Have tasks. And the quest log is littered what then interferes with the lack of separation of main and side missions.

5. There is a quest called "Improved energy grid" (one of the body mentioned in point 4). Whether I make them or not, the cursor is when you open the logs always on this quest, which is annoying because it eventually is pretty low and I constantly have to scroll up Felt 2 minutes. Problem was present in two passes.

6. The quest log insufficiently informed about the mini-quests. Often I do not know if I've already said object or not. So I have often run the Citadel and look at a map, because only there the name of the client and its location will be displayed-if I have the right subject for me.

7. Many quests that you get can be solved until much later. It is often required to recover objects from certain planets that do not yet exist simply on the galaxy map. Beginners will confuse this because you can imagine that one overlooks the whole time something or has the game mechanics not properly understood.

8. A few side quests can no longer be solved by completing a certain main mission.
Unfavorable, since I do not know such a thing before and it annoys me when first playthrough to have left something out. So, Load Game (if you even a matching score does) and the last 2 hours again ...

9. The offerings of the Collector's Edition is a matter of taste, as already mentioned, but the robo-dog is nonsense. Apart from a random sample speech as "Bad dog" when clicked goes because nothing if the dog you ever found-makes the game no worse, only has no raison d'être.

My review is based on two passes play, once on "Normal", even to "madness"
and the free spins all trophies, thus including excessive use of the successful multiplayer mode.

... Is actually anybody noticed that in the face of enemies in the game gets the name "collector's edition" with "Mass Effect 2" a strange aftertaste? ^^
