Justice (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Finally, after 5 years, it has so far, an album of 11 new songs from the Betonanrührern in Southern Rock area Molly Hatchet. On the 2008 released album Southern Rock Masters the boys paid tribute to Bobby Ingram their models in tribute versions of their respect and the year before there were with Flirtin` With Disaster Live a live album for Fans.So So is Justice, the first new studio CD since Warriors Of The Rainbow Bridge (2005) has become.

To put it straight to the point - to feats of recent Molly Hatchet (for me from 1996 with Phil McCormack on vocals) as Devils Canyon or Silent Rain Of Hereos comes the new album is not anymore. Founding member Dave Hlubek (since 2005 back on board) can indeed contribute lead guitar again, as a songwriter he has apparently had its day - his name appears on any song under the specified authors. What is not to say that is still many a highlight hidden on the disc:

Been To Heaven - Been To Hell - really nice groovy Boogie opener, nice slide guitar work - makes you hungry for more!

Safe In My Skin - goes crazy beautiful rock on. Horny organ solo by John Galvin, which merges into a great guitar solo.

Deepwater with strange keyboard intro comes up with beautiful two-part guitar - but is otherwise rather a boring number.

American Pride is the anthem of the album. Strong Swamprocker - nice guitar riffing, beautiful, dirty, swampgeschwängerter vocals of Phil McCormack - I think there were quite a few whiskey bottles to vocal treatment notwendig.Tolles boogie piano solo by John Galvin - then of course there are still a guitar solo!

Gonna Live 'Til I Die - slowly, slightly ballad despite distorted guitar, interspersed with twin guitar melodies and especially the chorus is very stark.Heavy while epic with Tiefgang.Je often I hear the number, the more fun it makes me!

Fly On The Wings Of Angels (Sommer`s Song) has become a somewhat lengthy ballad - not bad but the right depth is missing here.

With Tomorrows And Forever ballad goes on - but this ballad has more depth than the previous number.

As Heaven Is Forever - what can I say to this number - this is pure boredom - no ballads still very heavy, no special melody - just inconsequential

Vengeance - although something goes wrong with a strange synth intro, but offers a Mördergitarrenriff its best, class whiskeygeölten vocals of Phil McCormack and amazingly hot guitar solos of the gentlemen Hlubek and Ingram - one of the highlights of Justice.

In The Darkness Of The Light - Strong verse part with good guitar riff - Refrain could be a bit more imaginative - but is okay.

Justice has become a worthy title track. Feiner long epic song that receives the Freebird upright and, as usual, ends in a long lively guitar battle.

Conclusion: Of course Justice For all Molly Hatchet fans almost a must buy, for Southern Rock fans who want to have it a little bit harder (touched Southern with concrete) should this disc quite time to give one to two ears - makes 4 through hangers of - despite 3 rest but a lot of fun!
