The book was all my expectations: it provides a very good insight into the origin of the Worlds / Monster / graphics / characters of Alice: Madness Returns and additionally provides even some interesting information about the development of the first part American McGee's Alice. The graphics and the information (all in English) are well drawn and very detailed. Of course they are, just like the game itself, absolutely brilliant, albeit disgusting. But I think even that has also identified the appeal of both Alice parts. The reasons why certain designs have not been included in the game are coherent (too cruel, not fit for action, implementation difficulties, and so on) and well worth knowing. Still, I would recommend the book to anyone who has not even played the game. Since this is for me, however, is the case (Alice: Madness Returns [PEGI]), I can forgive a clear conscience 5 stars for this article.
