Have slammed on the SSD with 512GB in flash deal, the price was simply unbeatable. Before that I've read of the difficulties with certain Intel chipsets, but AMD has not been mentioned, so I was hoping that suits then. But sadly wrong. I have a board from Gigabyte (GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev1.2) with built-in chipset AMD 990FX is a (North) and SB950 (South), which is responsible for the 6 onboard ports SATAIII SB950. Previously already puttering a Kingston Hyper X to bem Board, these shovels good about 400MB back and forth. But the Transcend SSD370 it brings to the board just to 30-40 MB. I've tried all sorts of things, cable, other connection, BIOS and driver versions, or Micrososft Std.Treiber and AMD driver IDE / AHCI Mode, etc. Also, the tool SSD Scope of Transcend does not help because there is no newer firmware for the SSD's. The joke is, I put the SSD in an old Acer laptop with SATA II, they shoveled 250MB, in a USB3 enclosure brings it also to almost 250MB and the external SATAII connector on the motherboard it brings it to 220MB (the external Connections run through a standard AHCI controller and not via the SB950). I tried to be extra-smart also previously on the Transcend website, but the compatibility list has been very very small especially with the motherboards (Gigabyte just 2).
