Initially, I was really impressed by the ReadyNAS.
Two "acceptable shortcomings" I had then found:
1.) The ReadyNAS 104 has no quota settings. That means I can not define "in share xyz maximum xxxGB data may be stored." After the web interface also no indication how much space was wasted gets where it may well be that you look hard when space zuneige goes.
2.) The "Place of spent" in the web view is forgetting completely, because it means all data + all snapshots. If there is so consumed 5 of 6TB and you copy something to the disk, it may be that a snapshot is removed and there is suddenly more free space.
So much for the little things.
Recently, the NAS is suddenly repeatedly frozen and was no longer accessible.
I am then (NAS freezes when a more than 70% used) to the review of Ingo Bukovsky here encountered Amazon.
So I backed up all data (funny at 4 TB !!!), have a factory default reset made and recorded the data.
The NAS was suddenly toad slowly and is frozen from time to time when copying the data back.
After contact support (they are great !!! Really big compliment) has heruasgestellt that the Nas suddenly SMB Version 3 uses, Win7 uses SMB2.1 and there's just stuck.
You have to install "SMB Plus" and switch to SMB2.1 the application.
ONLY: The NAS freezes continue a.
The support has noticed that the plates used are not on the ReadyNAS compatibility list and Netgear does not guarantee that the NAS is functioning properly.
very funny.
Something must not happen in such an important part as the NAS easy !!!!
Could I still return, I would do it.
Mist box.
