The centenary of the death of Jean Henri Fabre (1823 - 1915) gave me the opportunity and I celebrated my way by reading "La Plante lessons to my son on botany.."
Jean Henri Fabre was so naturalistic entomologist. His work was the link between plants and insects. He lived very old, despite a hard life full of drama and took to the world around him attention and always renewed curiosity.
Ecologist before this word exists, this curious indefatigable stressed the importance of preserving the balance of nature and he highlighted the plant-insect interactions.
Underrated in France, Jean Henri Fabre is revered in Japan ... !!!
Today, I could say that it was Jean Marie Pelt who succeeded him in this fight to preserve nature.
In this book for his son Jules, the scientist deploys teaching treasures!
Twenty profusely illustrated chapters, deals with the plant simply.
This book for yourself or to offer, is within the reach of all.
I highly recommend it.
