I want to evaluate the products and share the review on the two main points for me on.
1. haptic / function / smell
It is true - as many other reviewers, I can confirm that the cables are quite stiff. However, this is not a disadvantage, but rather advantageous because, and this follows point 2 later, it really should PIMF (pair in metal foil) Cable, the rigidity of the mantle would only protect the inner cable insulation. This cable is not suitable for 90 ° -Winkelverlegung, but due to the shielding makes perfect sense, because when a rectangular arc solved only slightly by the cable pairs coiled metal foil and thus would be useless.
If the supplied 2m cable the retaining tab was already canceled unilaterally.
Nothing needs to be further written to function, the cables do what they should. Throughput tests I have not done, if you are not changing at SOHO Gigabit on bell wire cabling is, length and location dependent, eh voodoo.
The biggest problem, however, for me is the pungent smell, the cables and the boxes in which they are packed secrete. The cable smell like an old linoleum floor. Who should constantly tampered with the cables to arm themselves accordingly. Or resort to higher quality cable.
2. Designation
All cables are offered as "CAT6 SSTP double shielded network patch cable with 2 x RJ45 connector". In the expanded product description is described "Screening S / FTP (PIMF)". But printed on the cables, the term "SSTP PIMF", which is totally misleading because SSTP PIMF (SSTP stands for "screened shielded twisted pair", meaning Pair screen in wire mesh and overall shield in wire mesh) would actually SFTP - with foil to the respective pairs of wires and a braid as overall shield. So what is around the wire pairs? Foil or braid?
I'll never know, because go already because of the pungent odor the cable back.
Too bad.
