Indispensable for collectors!

The Doring Kindersley Verlag has already with LEGO Star Wars: launched lexicon of characters, droids and spaceships is a standard reference work for collectors and raised the bar for all of the following books on this area set very high: All figures, spaceships and droids. With the newly published "Character Encyclopedia" you will own quality demands again and again manages the feat of bringing an indispensable lexicon for collectors on the market.
A first look at the book may disappoint a little, because it's a good deal less than the "predecessor-Lexikon", but at the latest when you open the first pages in the book, one is more than reconciled, because just as a book to collectors have long desired!

On 208 pages each per available LEGO Star Wars character is described in detail!
The book is divided into the following chapters:
Episode I, Episode II, Episode III Episode IV Episode V, Episode VI, Clone Wars and Expanded Universe.
Within each chapter, each character is thrown in a page on which the figure is shown in large format and the set in which they can be found / was the year of publication, as well as accessories, additional information and options are given.
A word about the difference version and variant:
Of many figures, especially the Haupcharaktären, there are several versions and variations. Thus emerged about Obi-Wan Kenobi in Episode I as a Padawan, in Episode II as Jedi in Episode III as a Jedi Master and in Episode IV as Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi. Each of these different figures is a version of Obi-Wan Kenobi. For example, Obi-Wan Kenobi in the version "Padawan" from Episode I again in different variations available. To stay in this example, there is Obi-Wan Kenobi in the version "Padawan" from Episode I once in the variant with Padawan and once in the variant with hood.
Is there a character version several variants, is a variant, the so-called "Star Variant", described in more detail.

As in the quasi-predecessor there is a bonus here as well an exclusive, available only in this book minifigure. This time it's Han Solo in the version "Medal Ceremony" from Episode IV. A perfect complement to Luke Skywalker from the predecessor.

The lexicon is also suitable for young fans, but I would rather recommend children the German edition, except the English skills of the child are at least good. There is not much to read, but it's fun to browse through the dictionary and look at the different figures in detail. My daughter (9) also has the same trying to recreate a few figures. The results were pretty good too.

Negative I found the format for something bigger, like the previous glossary would have been personally prefer me. But that's a matter of taste.

By the way, there is a glossary now available in German: LEGO Star Wars Encyclopedia of minifigures: With more than 300 minifigures!
Property me in the bookshop, both the English, as well as the German edition viewed and compared. Differences I could, except for the language course, no notice. Therefore, I am reviewing the English version.

A strong buy recommendation! Not just for figure collectors, but also for LEGO Star Wars fans of all ages!
