Positive
- The FlipBlade is very good and immaculately processed.
- Universally einsatzbar and therefore does not need to buy a new stand for each device you.
- Compact in size and therefore easy to carry.
- Home button can be reached without problems, is therefore not covered.
- Stable base an iPad in portrait or landscape format. If an iPad is used in portrait mode, the construction has a certain game, there is, for example, when you press the top of the display back slightly after. But the whole thing is still so strong that you are not afraid that the iPad tipping backwards or slipping out of the holder. In landscape mode, depending on the base, the stand may slip a little bit, at least when used on a table with wooden surface. You can stop the physics not outwit and I find the FlipBlade based on its size and weight for sufficiently stable. The stability is at least as good, if not better, than the more expensive BookArc Twelve South BookArc stand steel for iPad, which is not so small and portable, unlike the Belkin FlipBlade.
Neutral
- The slip resistance could be higher, but that's in a small footprint and low weight difficult to achieve.
- The spring mechanism for automatic open is already absorbed by the very elegant lightweight cushioning while. It would be convenient if there would be more opportunities set angle or in this regard.
Conclusion
The price / performance ratio of the Belkin FlipBlade is excellent. Due to its compact dimensions, you can take him without any problem (agency, holidays, etc.) and the need for stability is more than adequate. Would it at any time to buy back since it can also be used with other devices. For a version with adjustable setting angle I would give 5 stars, so there are only 4. The BookArc I will sell, because I am very satisfied with the FlipBlade.
Update 13/07/2014
The purchase of FlipBlade has paid off several times. The current iPad Air or an iPhone 5 (s) incl. Case fit still in the FlipBlade and also the folding mechanism works after years without any problem.
