Ingenious One Piece game, but ...

First, however, some of the graphics of the game. The characters, both members of the Straw Hat Pirates and the opponents are really implemented beautifully and look great. For sound you can like say that the voices of the characters (also in the German version of the original Japanese voices) and combat sounds are very well done, but the background music is rather casually forth without great highlights, but is not bad either. The German dubbing voices were not used, I personally find not so bad, because the Japanese Synchro is really very well done and the entire game is of course equipped with German subtitles.

The gameplay and combat system is rather simple in One Piece. A really big advantage is of course the wide range of characters in story mode. One can namely take all 9 members of the Straw Hat Pirates and everyone has completely different individual skills. This is very nicely varied. Also the Level system of attacks and increase the HP and SP is well implemented. Need to level up the attacks are as many opponents do and you automatically so new attacks freely. There is here also especially strong attacks, which can be used is limited, since they consume SP. The HP and SP increases one by cooking things. For this, one needs certain objects or creatures that you have to go fishing, or just simply erhählt of opponents must begin. In the first part it is, however, associated with a lot of effort the SP to increase to the maximum, which is now fixed until the second part. The Wii controller is for the gameplay or the control, unfortunately, almost not needed, you can execute an attack simply by shaking the remote control, the remaining attacks are carried out with buttons. That's why I referred to the gameplay as simple and non-fans could be rather boring. However, fans are the different attacks to recognize from the series that you really put all very nice with every character.

That leaves Story and the scale and complexity:
- The story is also very simple, but the charm and humor of the series is set in very nice cutscenes. The main story, however, is rather weak, because you actually to progress always must only collect objects to advance to the next boss and goes throughout the game so ...
- The scope is really very large, if one takes the trouble to really do anything. The story is indeed creates quite quickly, but the levels of the characters motivated far. In addition, you can unlock many more characters and to have available to really 100% in front of his file, you really have still some did, including all three levels of difficulty.
- Yes, exactly, there are three levels of difficulty, which are also set well in my opinion. The first is suitable for beginners, the last quite overwhelmed and especially gg the bosses you only with good gelevelten characters a chance. In general, the boss fights are very demanding, take some real time, but also make a hell of fun.

A last sentence still to the different game modes: For me coming players who want to play in pairs, too short. There are only a VS mode, which is rather weak and simply advised. However, there is a wide range of characters, you can namely different from the story mode also select all the bosses, not only the straw hats. Too bad I can only find that there is no co-op mode is available.

Despite some compromises, I am very pleased with this game, it is by far the best One Piece game at all, it has captivated me and really I have actually done everything possible to reach 100%. Not connoisseurs of One Piece, however, should think carefully about whether they set up this game, since it is likely no more than is a decent adventure game for most of them.
