DELIVERY:
The tablet comes in a beautifully designed blister I've already placed me on my shelf, because he really is a looker. When you open the carton, so you can find everything very neat and thoughtful wrapped before. In addition to the graphics tablet and the pen, and the pen holder to find the driver CD, a CD-ArtRage (paint program), as well as a full (sic) Adobe Photoshop Elements CD before. Consider that only the full version of Adobe Photoshop Elements is worth the money! Moreover - which has quite astonished me - my package were at even replacement tips for the pen, which I had not expected. Very good I liked the elaborate and clean packaging materials which protect the tablet along with all contents from dust, scratches and bumps. Overall, very convincing!
TO graphics tablet:
The tray is very nice and light, has a very noble, yet simple and functional design. The pen fits comfortably in your hand and you can take it almost as fiddling with a normal pen. Even after hours of work hardly tired hands! The pen holder is a very good idea, so that you are always next to the pen tray and can access it quickly. Overall, the whole feel is very ergonomic and well thought out!
A little gem I look at the blue backlit scroll wheel, which can be operated with a finger and thus the one hand zoom (if one travels along the circle with your finger) and scroll function (when you tap your finger up or down in a circle) offers. The backlight pulsates when not in use the tablet like a heartbeat - beautifully realized and a real eye-catcher! Once you use the tablet, the blue light on the other hand is glowing continuously.
There are 2 further function keys and 2 keys that can be assigned to individual functions and have been very well arranged.
Even the pen still has 2 function keys, which can be also assign various functions. If one turns the pen to, he also serves in graphic programs as an eraser.
Operability:
I work with the tablet almost daily since I as a photo designer and web designer often has to indemnify objects or work with vector graphics. Here I am working with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator programs, each in the CS3 version. The collaboration with Wacom tablets is impeccable! The graphics tablet is easily recognized and can be any more fundamental features such as pressure sensitivity, function key assignment, etc. made directly in the programs so that an a variety of different layouts are available, depending on program selection.
Drawing and painting is very possible with the graphics tablet! The pressure sensitivity is very accurate and is my wishes to precisely and logically. One can almost say it's like I'm working on plain paper with normal pens! Very well done!
The eraser is very good. For this purpose, you simply rotate around the pin and use the "eraser" on the canvas.
CONCLUSION:
Excellent! Can not imagine working with another pen tablet from Wacom than me. Wacom is absolutely worth the money for me. Who wants to spend less and buy a no-name product, will regret it, because this precision and feel can be found just only here.
I would buy the BAMBOO at any time and can only recommend it, the paint on the PC, or draw would indemnify photos. Also to navigation and as a mouse easily conceivable!
For more complex work, it should then, however, already may be a more expensive Wacom tablets since these offer even more pressure levels and especially a larger work surface. In amateur or entry level, the Wacom Bamboo, however, is the right place!
