Insert extension tubes used for macro photography

Basic
For the D50 from NIKON I ordered my automatic extension tubes of MEIKO, because I with such
Equipment've done with previous models of my equipment macro photos. If one wants the
Automatikfuntionen use the Camera, then satisfy simple intermediate rings (10-20 Euros) to extend the focal distance of the lens no longer. To The Product
The automatic rings of MEIKO in my opinion fully functional and qualikativ under a restriction
completely OK. The D50 works with rings without a change it completely accurate. That is the
Fact established that on this camera the sensor for detecting a mounted lens
simple lever is made of metal, which is pushed through the lens mounted just a bit to the side.
The rings rest totally uncomplicated on the D50, the lens is detected and everything works as it should.

The Lack
is that is on the NIKON D3200 of this sensor is not a simple metal-lever more,
but consists of a plastic hooks in the form of a triangular prism. The counterpart to the rings but
a sharp bent sheet metal piece, which in violent unraveling of a ring just this plastic prism
would simply pinch off. The sensor is this counterpart so as not through a lens through
down the sloping stop down, but clipped. - Result: Broken Camera !!!
Due to this fact only 4 instead of 5 stars! About the quality of macro photography, but ultimately decides not the fact that the rings of plastic or full metal are produced, but solely the skills and the feeling of the photographer.

Countermeasure:
It grinds on each ring, the small curved metal nose on the side tapered to which in against the sensor
the camera runs. The rings now fit to both the D50 and the D3200 - possibly
to other models. You have to stop with tact As always when using modern technology and

you can do - as with Ludwig Thoma!

Conclusion
I am very pleased with the extension tubes to the small operation. The macro photos thus made
speak for themselves. But as already mentioned above, a little knowledge of photography
you have to have. With the "click-and-ready method" is neither a costly Mkroobjektiv
even with Zwischeringen or Macro lenses etc. succeed.
