Excellent price-performance ratio with the following model: Intel Core i3-4030U each 1.9GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Intel HD 4400 graphics card. Windows 8.1 runs flawlessly and of course it is even suitable for gaming. For example, the game Dota 2 runs on medium graphics settings liquid at about 30 FPS. When I installed the drivers from the Acer website for Windows 8 about a month ago, they had forgotten to provide one or two drivers for Windows 8. When this is not installed, you have unknown devices in Device Manager and the notebook may run unstable and not optimal. In this case, simply take the driver for Windows 7, which also fit for Windows 8 as an archive includes drivers for both operating systems.
I am very pleased with my notebook. The promised battery life of 7 hours is respected in normal operation (without games).
