The Commissioner Adamsberg is at odds with his collaborator Danglard while a cooperation internship with Canadian police is planned in Quebec. Ademsberg is alerted by a murder perpetrated in Alsace since the procedure strangely reminds him of that of a former enemis hunted but never captured and died in 15 years. A drunk tramp found near the scene of the crime seems all designated culprit but does not convince Ademsberg. The Commissioner went to Quebec with his team and meet specialists from Quebec: the description of the cooperation is interesting and funny in some parts of the form but not the substance that is boring. The girl rencontée by the Commissioner is found murdered on the river and Ademsberg finds himself accused this time ... What follows the fantastic adventures, the Commissioner trying to prove his innocence while returning illegally. Some parts are excellent (as the epic flight of the Commissioner and Retancourt Canada) but the plot is generally average and the end was slow to come seems sloppy (hackeuse granny 80 years champion of info implausible) that this dessert novel and leaves behind a negative taste: worst Vargas then I read that this great author in other novels were accustomed to much better.
