First: One can not make anyone right. There just is not a panacea to the mobile phone market that does it all and does not make mistakes.
My co-worker has an iPhone and it turns out all the advantages of the iPhone and chalk them as disadvantages at HTC. That's OK !!
We, too, as a new HTC HD2 owners make it seem equally (see the previous speaker).
I want to now not really with it, but simply tell you why I bought the HTC HD2.
My previous bone was the SE P1i ... knuffiges particles, but the end of the lease term, however, is so slow fallen apart.
The HD2 uses the requirements fort that I loved in my P1i so and still unpacked stuff on top of it.
- Synchronization with Windows PC:
whether files, contacts, photos or music is: With one click I have it on my PC or my Windows Live account. Mac owners are these benefits probably are not allowed.
- Communication with the outside world:
The Hammer: I can establish a VPN connection to my work place and access via Remote Desktop to the appropriate PCs. Mind you: Here it's all about the emergency ... really I can work then of course not ... That'll be my laptop.
... Shut down the database, but to restart a router or read certain logs it is enough perfectly.
- Surfing on the phone or from the laptop:
Sure ... just like the iPhone you should not buy the HD2 without a data contract. But is this done, so the boundaries between mobile and Internet.
The trick: If one has a data plan, you can use the HD2 as a wireless router and the laptop can easily connect via WLAN with the mobile phone and then it goes to the laptop via HSDPA through the net without cumbersome Bluetooth or USB configuration.
- Design and handling:
Sure, Microsoft has copied and tries to implement it here something from IPhone. Who does not? One sees the weaknesses of others and try them in its own development not to repeat or you see the strengths in other developments, this assumes and perhaps improve it yet.
Of course, we live in this mobile phone in the Windows world, which allows hardly generic or dynamic approaches but only simulates.
But: That's enough for me! Everything has its place ... who wants to tackle problems somewhere else, needs deeper into the system in and customize it ... it happens to be a Windows, what lies beneath.
- Applications and the Market Place:
Course against the App Store from Apple the MS MarketPlace currently has nothing to oppose. But in the course of a month, the number of available application and the prices rose (except for a few exceptions) are comparable to the prices in the App Store.
- Battery life:
Who plays a lot and looks, which must sooner with the HD2 to the gas pump than you might be used to. One shortcoming, but this is (at the same time with the car kit) solved with the upgrade in February of next battery not necessarily but weakened. Yes! The mobile phone has then a bulge on the battery. But the advantage is that the wobbling through the camera lens is eliminated and the HD2 gets a little stand. So you can set it on the table in landscape format.
- Bugs and fixes:
Errors in there ... the question arises as to how quickly they are resolved. Fortunately, I got my HD2 at 09:12:09 and after first playing around ever found on the HTC-side the first ROM update and installed immediately. So I did not hear any of the above errors. :)
Even when the camera's were one more hotfix afterwards ... as a bonus quasi.
- Price:
Well ... it is not necessarily cheap, but you always have to see what you get for it. But I think cheaper than an iPhone, if you are not one of the chosen TCom customers.
Conclusion: I would buy it again. On the question: "IPhone or HD2" ... that I can not answer, because it depends on what you need it. For my workspace (IT) is the mobile phone of the hammer and integrate perfectly into all business processes (if you live in the Windows world).

A final note on the iPhone users:
... And please love iPhone users: we know that you have the best phone in the world, and all other mobile phones against the iPhone only can lose because they do not come from Apple. We still do not apologize for the purchase of the HTC HD2.
