Is complementary to my needs

As the name suggests, Lightroom, the software works as a kind of digital darkroom. So she offers to catalog all your images in a library to 'develop' and editing, among other things the possibility. This book, however, drawn not by itself. If I were Lightroom newbie, I would also wait for the new edition Lightroom 5 digital photography.

What are the new features, and is well worth an upgrade?

a. The revised field repair, now also enables the large-scale correction of image distortion.
b. Identifying and removing dust succeed now also easier on the area visualization. The image is black and white, which even the smallest particles are visible.
c. The radial filter itself I could not deal, which is why I can say this, nothing.
d. My personal highlight is the newly added feature of automatic deskewing / erection converging lines.

As can be readily seen, I use only the last function regularly.

Conclusion: A program whose initial purchase without ifs and buts worth. Whether an update for you is worth, you need to decide at the end itself. I hope I could offer you a little help to do so. While I used to edit my photos with Photoshop Elements and Paint Shop Pro, I use this since I got to know Lightroom only this software. It offers under one roof everything I need for the development of my pictures. I myself have never actually even developed my analog images, have looked at two former friends but every now and again when developing on the Schultzer. The logic of Lightroom follows this path in many ways. In addition, I find the grain of the final image somehow more natural, unlike element and Paintschop Pro. This is ultimately but a question of taste.
