the shell is doing what it should. Protects the iPad perfectly without SmartCover is a bit much space in the shell, but perfect if you have a Smart Cover. They can also be used as a stand for the iPad, to put it for example on the desk or night as an alarm clock next to the bed. Am completely satisfied and find a compromise which was received very well, so that the Smart Cover fits with pure!
