The fact is this:
You should definitely have antivirus software on his computer. It is only once no matter what you use for software. There are definitely some good freeware that can be used. On the firewall and the whole paraphernalia of Windows I would not leave me solo. The evil may backfire.
Why buy so Norton and not some other software?
This question I can only answer as follows: had always Norton on the computer and has never been a bigger problem. So why change a "Running System" ??? Norton has always been very reliable and has my computer always well protected.
But that is not to say that there is no other software that is not at least as good ...
Almost my whole family uses Avira AntiVir (Freeware) and had also never been real problems.
What I find particularly good:
- Good protection of all important tasks are carried out.
- Who can be familiar not good in computer sector work well with this software. It is necessary to protect not much "own initiative" to the PC well. The helpful hints come in time. ;-)
- Visual layout is modern and is well integrated into Windows. (Easy to use)
What's not so find really great:
- Well, I wish to continue a 3 software license ... Who has 5 computer ...? ;-)
- Unfortunately, everything is tuned more and more on Windows, which carries with it certain dependencies. In the era of the American surveillance (Norton belongs to an American company ...) is known, however, even here not mandatory if not something unconsciously runs in the background. (To test the fail me then but the deeper knowledge)
Conclusion:
All I can say in relation to Norton that I had a good protection of my computer for many years. Therefore, I can recommend the software on my part. The price is fine for me. Currently less than 50 (thus costs a license no 10)
Tip:
To all the people who love to read product testing ...
I wrote to my own experience on this review.
From my perspective, however, one should be very careful with any product test in newspapers, magazines, advertising, etc. These are not always objective. It is possible that people will be enticed with some small change to a better opinion about the product.
I just wanted to attach therefore, because I have recently read a review about anti-virus software in a magazine. There were 5 programs compare. Unfortunately, some functions were compared to actually do not exist in the products. Unfortunately, this is often the sad reality! One should be as cautious with opinion-making newspapers, etc. ... ;-)
