Then this book is a collective work, brainchild of three personalities from the world of giftedness (in order of appearance ds the book):
- Roberta Poulin, now former co-chair of the Franco-Swiss ASEP Switzerland (the Swiss Association for Children's Early) & mother of 2 children HPI
- Doris Perrodin, Swiss specialist teacher, a graduate of the ECHA (European Council for High Ability)
- Dr. Olivier Revol, French child psychiatrist well known to readers of this blog (& others!). He directs learning Disorders Center of Lyon Neurological Hospital
And nothing to spoil the book's foreword was made by Arielle Adda :)))

Comparative table (the numbering of the Swiss school systems, French, Belgian & Quebec)

As I explain in my video, everyone has treated a very specific part, with regard to its quality & experience! Thus:
Roberta who wrote the "II. The high potential child, family. HP as" Home Practice "?"
'Doris who made the "III. General principles acéder the pleasures of learning"
Olivier who took care of the "IV. Tips psy!"
And each brings its knowledge, experience relative to gifted children. They - necessarily - but 3 different approaches, and it's very important to note because I think this explains the exceptional quality of the book, they are perfectly complementary;)
This means that the trio really match very well. The parts fit together perfectly, the famous 100 & ideas flow both come to rely on what was presented in the preceding pages. All this takes place in an apparent Obviously, as with ease & logic: D
This gives a very nice book to go because ultra consistent. We guess without difficulty the frame, the desired direction by 3 authors. And it shows on the first page, with a great prologue they wrote together (and which specifies also be an attempt to define).
Successful test & transformed !!! This is a beautiful synthesis of what the gifted children.
In the part of Roberta Poulin, we find the identification of small HP & his daily in his life as in his specificities (the behavioral, family, social, organizational & school).
With 30 points all very interesting, developed clear & fresh way, with sometimes little topics such as food & clothing particularities of hyperesthesia, friendship, emotion management & susceptibility, the need for parents to dare to ask for help :)
QUOTE: Idea # 2 -> identification is not an end, but a beginning
In the signed portion Doris Perrodin (party is intended primarily for teachers, but is equally valid for gifted children of parents who can then refer if the need Insit 'their little HP to quality tracks) , we review all that is related to learning, appropriate teaching methods, the specifics of students with high or very high IQ.
With wonderful idea (one in No. 34) on the notions of equality & equity, and the role of the teacher in all this: love:
QUOTE: In the idea No. 42 -> A high IQ is not a guarantee of academic success.
Finally the written part by Olivier opens on 10 key tips (worth with all the children, but even more with HPI) for optimizing therapeutic & educational relationship. Why even faced with this public that are the quirky EIP? Because, as highlighted mischievously Dr. Revol they are extremely lucid & criticism: roll:
Again a myriad of exciting ideas & a huge blow to personal heart point 80 that explains where does the impression of "déjà vu" / "been through" that many gifted children feel, without ever identifying the cause (& sometimes believing themselves totally crazy: oops:).
QUOTE: In the idea No. 82 -> The majority of HP children confirmed to be embarrassed by their empathy. They imagine, wrongly, that everyone work like that. And the problem is the same for intuition.
Finally a superb book on gifted children that covers all of their realities and of their problems, whatever the field covered: D
It closes the book with the reassuring feeling of being stronger because better equipped to face daily life. And that is the objective of a book to me: help, transmit, give tools.
Objective fully achieved! All my applause goes to three authors who have done work there quite remarkable :))
