Friends insects, rest assured! Except 5 good harmless gnats, which have been accidentally electrocuted, this device is only a decorative lamp. In a room that was a real aviary to house flies, none came electrocuted on this unit both day and night. Ditto for mosquitoes, putting me 50 cm from the lamp on, the mosquitoes came to rest on me superbly ignoring this decorative lamp. In addition the transformer overheats. It is burning when touched, making it reluctant to leave it plugged unattended. What about the advertised power to 4W and I measured 12W! In short I recommend this lamp allegedly "kills insects".
