Again, one must always keep in mind, there is a battery device, because the performance of a power trimmer, it can not keep up. For very tall grass, the engine breaks down while my device with electricity even wegfräst topsoil. However, you will rarely need this application. The cutting performance with normal grass height is neat and the cutting result even and clean and is in no way inferior to the Alko. The battery is of sufficient size and holds enough that you can also order something larger areas also trim long. In fact evident in the pure trimming grass that the blade is more durable than a thread, which saves money in the long run.
Now comes the big BUT:
I have my trimmer primarily used to clean cutting the lawn edge and around obstacles in the lawn, the lawn mower is not approached and this shows quite quickly that a thread cutter in advantage. On the one hand reaches the Bosch blades that fit snugly eg on a curb not report (using the bumper bar) and on the other it happened that even if Bosch indicates that the knife in contact folds away with obstacles, with me after the first use had well passed half a centimeter away from the knife. The knife was not enough thus right up to the guard, which more grass stopped. When the thread trimmer you would now simply once tapped on the ground, the thread would have been back long, while Bosch is the replacement of blades, which can be expensive in the long run. Handling:
The fact that the Schneider head is sideways rotatable, you can also reach hard to reach places, such as under a chute. Big plus is of course the battery, because you have no more cable strutting behind. The handle can be adjusted according to taste and the device is (shockingly) easy, no comparison with the Alko. As described above, the battery capacity is sufficient. After about 20 minutes it's over and then you have only Charging Solution 1.5 hours. In the time you should definitely get cut stuff. The two-stage output (is controlled by the switch, continue to press = more speed) is recommended to save energy completely, because in the higher level, the device made limp after just over 14 minutes.
The handling is certainly a strength of the device and the battery just makes the device more flexible than a cable-based representatives.

Conclusion:
This is related to my field of application in view of 3 stars to see. To cut objects to zoom, or cutting a Mähkante the Bosch loses the comparison with the Alko on thread base. To trim but mostly just grass, then you could enter the unit also 4 stars, because then the disadvantage is not so significant.
