It`sa Samsung. Throw it away.

I own a ST1000LM024 (actually wars so times a Samsung HN-M101MBB after Seagate took over the Samsung hard disk drive business, there was the Seagate model designation to and in the firmware current plates are both names in it - as in this), built in an external case and brought as CnMemory Zinc in traffic. After 2 years and 3 months (ie right on time after the warranty, both CnMemory and the Seagate OEM), the plate the first bad sectors on. G-Sense, G-Shock and Emergency Retract Count is 0 - the plate was treated with care.

These are not numbers for a disk at the end of life, this is the pure mockery!

And it's the third (!) Samsung disk within 3 years that I fail. Previously the HM160 in laptop - just as three of these plates in the vicinity of a friend (!) - And a HM641JI - because the new, refurbished Received on the exchange-plate again makes stress.

All this leaves a very bad feeling about this plates origin. So beware, data are probably canceled rather not too safe here. Which brand of completely overwrought today plates is still reliable, I know also gladly.
