I bought this cooler also for an Intel Core i5 (Ivy Bridge) CPU and this is not about to reach any overclocking, I went there simply to rest, because I belong to the people, the fan noise just steer clear where it just goes.
For this reason, I then want to swap the "boxed" cooler and came here to the Cooler Master Hyper TH3 EVO.
I want to divide the whole thing:
1) Installation: The installation was contrary to my first expectation, very simple. The instructions are here before, how to replace the screws, in my case it was the Intel Socket 1155. The screws fix this very good position. Now it was only still should be noted that the pins are correctly set, the supplied thermal paste sparingly distributed and it thus! I am here experienced layman, because I do not really mount a cooler every day, but it was smooth and easy! The radiator is located here very close to the RAM slots, but it fits and everything was fine, he sat as desired, so my part the result of: installation was simple, but read the manual takes the necessary rest.
2.) cooling capacity: I belüfte my computer by a 120mm rear fan, the power supply and provide the CPU cooler. What shall I say? My Intel i5 CPU (4 x 3 GHz) increased under full load never 51 degrees core temperature! This at room temperature. As I said, the CPU ran under Vollllast, for me, the values are therefore more than acceptable and impressive at the same time, because this point ..... 3!
3.) Volume: The radiator is in the normal load area not really audible, loud Bios turns the fan to 700 rpm. I can therefore say that the cooler is almost inaudible, as long as the CPU is not strongly demanded. Under load the image but does not change really, the cooler is pleasantly quiet and not really, not especially annoying perceptible. Only a slight noise is detectable, but that really is absolutely OK and therefore I have to say is the volume very well classified and this, as we know, with relatively good temperatures!
4) price / performance ratio, when I recollect that the cooler has cost 23 euros scarce and this relieves my ears felt, what do I want more? The cooler is well made, the CPU cools effectively and here is noticeably quiet and not disturbing. What more do you want? Strong buy recommendation on my part!
Conclusion: I can only imagine the OC potential, as this is not a priority on my part, but who relies on a good cooler with low volume and it wants to have at an affordable price, which should take up this cooler. I am more than impressed with this cooler and would buy it again at any time.
Notes on my part concludes:
1. Installation: Note 2: You have to read the instructions, but then it's easy enough
2.) Cooling capacity: 2+: more than adequate and especially relatively quiet!
3.) Volume: 2+: It is and remains an air cooler, but this really is absolutely bearable and relatively quiet!
4) price / performance ratio: 1
Overall grade on my part, therefore: 2+
Have fun everyone who wants this access. :)
