*** Update after 20 months of intensive use: everything is still the same. For small tours of the 123-GO-20 is still great because your back (the weight is barely noticeable when worn practically) and just a space saver. The backpack still looks as fresh as a daisy lifted out of the shipping box. No rust (as, according to another review, shall be already occurred after only half a year), no worn parts, keep Velcro and zippers and buckles I still find that a good thing. Once I've gained the DL 3N1-33 for a laptop and longer tours, I would like to highlight the stable handle loop on top of the lid compartment. The fact I miss very often the "big brother". ***
Long I have been taking their time to buy a backpack for my camera equipment; so far I've made do with Shoulder Bags
Important for me:
- Photo backpack that does not look already at first glance like a
- Versatility: space not only for the DSLR, but also for the medium-format equipment
- Clean finish, well padded, waterproof
- Priced within reasonable limits
When retrieving the backpack out of the box I was admittedly skeptical at first whether my cameras in there would really find a place without having to cram too bad: It would draw not very big out; He has a more sleek design.
But after careful placement soaked my impression of the product not of the other reviewers here:
+ Neat, sturdy design
+ Well-padded sections allow ...
+ ... A practical, clear design
+ Velcro straps provide a secure fit inside the cargo
+ Click the outside care closures (2 large and 2 small) for additional stability
+ Yellow-colored interior, a great convenience in low-light situations
+ No-frills, purpose-oriented design
+ Rain Cover
On the one hand, access to the equipment thanks to the sufficient existing zippers is the user quite possible, however, to strangers from behind not just do the same thing (when. Is for example in crowds on the road, or in the full bus / train is). Also Kata waived embroidery or printed product names such as "[Manufacturers] - Photo Gear" or such that could reveal evidence of the content thieves inadvertently.
On comfort itself there from my side (still) nothing to complain about, but I will after prolonged use, if necessary, make an update of the rating.
Only the adjustment of the straps is attached to me too far down. Placement above, a piece underneath the padding would like it better in order to readjust quickly and easily.
Depending on the area of responsibility I store my either analog or digital equipment in the backpack, ie: Pentax 67 with TTL prism finder, 2 to 3 lenses, a KB Nikon SLR and lens, lens hoods, movies, light meter. Digital Items since a Canon with BG, 3 lenses, adapters, memory cards, card reader.
Also on board (in the spacious upper compartment): mobile phone, sunglasses, notebook and pen, MP3 players, cleaners, rain cover.
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming tour. That reminds me some will be easier than in the past and I hope that this joy lasts even long (which I but thanks to the other reviews updated no doubt). Due to the many, without exception postiven properties I forgive here like five stars (the belt adjustment is a negative dots, but does not justify in my opinion not all star deduction).
