Key available, no latency, everything super

Due to the many negative reviews here, which nearly prevented me from buying the game, I've decided to just two days to write a review.
The short version:
* I purchased a copy of the media market at 26.10.2012, which has already been touched up with regard to the lack of Steam-Keys.
* For me, I could find no latency. There is a menu item in the options if necessary to counteract this.
* The partially perceived as annoying tune the guitar before each exercise is in truth only a short hitting each string and takes about 10 seconds.
* The supplied power cord is solid and functional. However, it is not a high-Equipement, Ubisoft makes here certainly sufficient margin

+++ Kaufgrund
With the release of Guitar Hero a few years ago, that has incredibly good fun, not only me, the idea is to have come that you might spend many hours in front of Daddelkiste even so, really learning guitar. Short castles I had bought myself a used electric guitar and was at least initially motivated by self-study. But a guitar course I did not want to take. It came, as it had to, eventually got the thing in the corner rum. A few days ago I did the radio (!) Heard about this game (The Gamestar has unfortunately completely silent about it until now.) In the media market, I purchased the game then incl. Cable 60. A rare case where Amazon is not even cheaper. Not to mention that I did not want to wait.

+++ Scope and Installation
The bundle contains the cable (2m long) and the DVD case with the DVD. The game needs to be registered on Steam, a resale deleted. As some users report that the first batch contained no Steam-Key. Ubisoft has set up on the Support page a FAQ. People without Key must create an account with Ubisoft, scan the receipt and set up a service ticket. Buyers at Amazon provides the Amazon support the Key available. I had, as mentioned above, apparently already corrected the charge and no problem.
The installation took, contrary to individual reports, also not eternal but remained within the framework of what we are accustomed.
What is less well that there is no indication to install the USB cable. Nor is it evident that there is a rather complex learning / game software no printed manual. This bad habit is doing here hurt particularly since it is for the installation of the cable necessary to restart Windows, otherwise the game is not the guitar. Interestingly, the Windows Control Panel after - easy, automatic - Driver Installation not indicate a restart.

+++ Operation
In principle Rocksmith works just like Guitar Hero, however, with right guitar, you should have at home, or else brings it of course nothing. Guitar is connected, headphones on, and you can already without guitar amp! get started. In Karriermodus you train certain songs to present them later before "public". Here you can train the songs as often. Initially, there are very few notes that need to be played separately. The criticized by some reviewers latency is with me not exist, and I am among those who must always adjust the latency in Guitar Hero on the Wii. In addition, there is a menu item, which can adjust the latency. A relevant documentation, or even a hint in the tutorial would have been helpful. But the manual does not print (see above)

+++ Learning curve
The learning curve is steep and remains steep. An algorithm adjusts during each exercise continuously to the difficulty. If a passage played very well (right notes and the right timing), so practice on-the-fly is more difficult because more notes to be inserted. You then blew a passage again, the difficulty is reduced. So you will always be at the limit of its capacity. Initially, this was still very confusing, because you have done right in various passages suddenly subjectively less and the same song at the same career stage suddenly became much more complex. But I think this is a good way, its own power limit to push ever further.
In addition to the Karrierstufen can practice certain techniques directly. Songs can also play without Karrierstufe, they do not have to be unlocked. Be unlocked "Locations".

+++ Graphics and sound
The sound is very decent for a music game, the graphics are appropriate to my surprise, but even at resolutions beyond 1920x1080 üblichn customizable. Only drawback is the flat audience that is practically only one texture. Also repeat the faces. But who's scratched? It is enough with himself and his guitar busy.

+++ Criticism
The game is more than Game tutorial. Nevertheless, it is great fun. And you learn something there. Whether in the long run develops a guitarist from me, I now can not say. At least seems to me the time to be applied usefully than Guitar Hero.
The Missing Manual and the missing keys in the first batch are thick faux pas by Ubisoft and did not have to happen.
Guitar teacher will criticize that the player no one pays attention in his hand and Fingerakkrobatik on those. Dadruch could grind error and be difficult to figure out later.

It was really about time someone invents this game. Anyone who's got a guitar lying around unused at home, I can highly recommend this game really. Anyone who has ever toyed with the idea to add itself ne Guitar should buy a used guitar and the game immediately. Other cables or even a guitar amp he did not first need or. This makes the entry but really simple.
