Take My Hand (Audio CD)

Customer Review

King King is a band from Glasgow, Scotland, whose mastermind Alan Nimmo is one half of the famous Nimmo Brothers.

The CD is indeed already since last year on the market and the band has already played in the past at various festivals and more retracted than succès d'estime.

The other day on a long car ride, I put the CD into the player again. Longer already I had not heard it in its entirety.

At the very first title "Lose Control" was my original enthusiasm that was at the very first hearing, present again. Stomping Blues-rock at its best. The right soundtrack for a ride in the convertible somewhere on the highway to California into the sunset.

Well, because here prevail harsh sub-zero temperatures at the moment, it remains visually unfortunately only in this cliché. Acoustically the song works but also currently - we are experiencing a klirrend- frosty February - as a heating supplement in our latitudes.

Funky and brass support it comes with the title track "Take My Hand" on. In "Do not You Get The Feeling (You've Been Had)" the Hammond drives forward and that correct and no questions asked.

And already we are at John Hiatt Cover "Feels Like Rain". Hiatt is a gifted songwriter. The well know the Nimmo Brothers, because with his brother Stevie together Alan has just this song
for their common CD "New Moon Over Memphis" in 2003 already received. The current interpretation gets me all thumbs up.

Speaking of titles of other musicians: Eric Clapton and Robert Cray are responsible for "Old Love" Here Alan Nimmo shows his skill as a guitarist (after all, he has to compete with God "Clapton), but also as a singer great simplicity..

With Howling Wolf's "Mr. Highway Man "returns the band to the sources of the blues, here supported by the phenomenal Harp- game by Giles King.

Toussaint McCall's "Nothing Takes The Place Of You" is the bluesy finale of this more than successful debut album by the band King King.

A total of 11 titles fill the shekel. And every song is worth to be heard. Whether in the car or behind closed doors, which is then no longer be silent on some titles.

Who is on solid, earthy, handmade, blue rock music, is in good hands with King King.

This is true for the CD, but also for live gigs, of which we have in the future, some into the house.
Absolutely not to be missed. See you in front of the stage, so I hope.
