For many years now we own a KitchenAid Artisan and are very pleased with this. Did she really never had a misfire or was too weak for the intended kneading. Now the UltraMix AEG is fluttering in our home and I immediately started a big compare test. As already noticeable that the UltraMix has been very much in their model, the KitchenAid, only the controls are mounted mirror. I give 1-10 points for the respective depreciation areas.
Force: Although the UltraMix with 1000 Watts advertises (opposite the KitchenAid with just 300 watts) we could, my wife and I, not tell the difference. Even at very solid kneaded over a longer period. Here probably the transmission of particular importance seems to be the work probably more effective in KitchenAid. 1000 watts is indeed, more power consumption.
Rating: UltraMix 8 points, KitchenAid 10 points (less power consumption, the same force).
Speed: The UltraMax is setting in all levels (1-10) always a little slower than the Kitchenaid. This of course affects in cream especially good. Better and faster it is done at a higher speed. So here's the KitchenAid is once again at an advantage.
Rating: UltraMix 9 points, KitchenAid 10 points (faster work with faster speed setting steps in all).
Equipment: Both devices were delivered with the same equipment (only in UltraMix there is a bowl more) that is absolutely identical in appearance and quality. Who has probably copied from whom? Strangely, both food processors have the same connection for accessories. Even the square for the mincer is equal. But be careful: Never replace the accessories. It comes for example to scratch noises when using the bowl of the KitchenAid at the UltraMix (but is a few millimeters smaller).
Both 10 points
Design: Here certainly differ spirits. The UltraMix is bulky and also acts greater than the KitchenAid in the kitchen. The UltraMix is square, the KitchenAid round. The UltraMix fits rather in a designer kitchen, the KitchenAid rather in a manufactory. Basically, I like them both very well, so I also make no review here.
Processing: Both machines are first-class workmanship. Lacquer coating, connectors, switches, electronics and the tilting mechanism are impeccable. Here I switch the UltraMax has even fallen slightly better than the KitchenAid, the little acts there easy. But as I said, the KitchenAid is many years old and also switch it survived.
Rating: UltraMix 10 points, KitchenAid 9
Handling: There are actually a few differences. The UltraMix is equipped with an LED. If the machine so in a dark kitchen, you look at what is already in the mixing bowl. Also, the switch is equipped with an LED and can also be seen from above (KitchenAid only from the side). I like it very much. Can of course not keep up the KitchenAid, but nothing can go wrong. However, what is negative I noticed at the UltraMix. If one tries to infect the stirring hook with one hand, tilt the machine backwards, because the foot is probably too easy. Here one must therefore hold with the other hand the machine, which is not in the KitchenAid so (then probably still many years of experience).
Review: Both devices get not 10 but 9 points
Noise: Yes, you do both and yet very different. The UltraMix sounds more like a little whistling electric motor, the KitchenAid like a rumbling transmission.
Review: Both could be quieter, so 8 points
Durability: The course I can not judge at the UltraMix because it is still new. But I will definitely tell them when times results in a vulnerability because they have to step in the near future only once for the KitchenAid home. Unfortunately, there is no room for both.
No Review
Dimensions: The UltraMix (47 cm) is slightly higher than the Kitchenaid (44.5 cm). With the folded upper part then both are again higher. Mention this here because we ourselves wanted to make the machine under a wall cabinet, which does not fit unfortunately.
No review.
Cable length: Yes what is that? Unfortunately, the UltraMix has only a cable length of 97 cm, the KitchenAid 130 cm. Find already, so a cable may not be long enough, especially when the nearest outlet is something yet further away. Since this is only a piece of information, no evaluation.
Conclusion: The UltraMix has yet to prove how it is reflected in everyday life and how susceptible it is to interference. She is modern and has still taken many classic elements of KitchenAid. What's a good thing. Equipped with LED and a more modern design, it can amount to anything. The quality is outstanding. No plastic, everything from heavy metal. Perfect. It occurs to me immediately on any significant weakness and the 2 points difference (did you counting?) For KitchenAid can cope. Since the price is right I will give the UltraMix 5 star and a real buy recommendation. The KitchenAid remains the good old food processor, which I unfortunately can not give 6 stars here.
Toll the so what is still produced in the plastic age.
