The Bad:
- Fortunately, the passive attenuation is very good because the active reduction does not add much. It is noticeable that for low frequency. It is certainly effective plane (I have not had a chance to try), but does not diminish the sounds of a conversation or traffic.
Pressing this active attenuation is reflected especially by a light breeze and the increased volume of the music played.
- Usually you buy a headset to listen to music, but there it is best not ... Just enough to listen "audio books" no more! The low, although present, are masked by a thunderous low medium. Boom, boom, boom ...
As for acute, they are completely erased. As these are "two ways", I thought the tweeters were defective. Listening to the generator proved to me that they are there but deliver a sound level quite inadequate. The upper midrange is also very bad. Completely back and full of colorations probably due to poor acoustic coupling between tweeters and "boomers" (I will not say "woofers"!).
CONCLUSION:
This helmet was a discovery for me. Having never heard of headphones to less than 10, I did not know you could commercialize this kind of acoustic catastrophe! Amazing from Klipsch. I have owned Klipsch RF7 pregnant for years and then, the brand's reputation is well deserved.
The M40 can still be used to mow the lawn or work in the workshop, or to practice target shooting.
I lay still two stars, one for packaging and for manufacturing quality and aesthetics.
