I needed to renew my system to i7 Sandy Bridge on P8Z68 Deluxe with Corsair 8GB and ASUS 560Ti a new CPU fan, because the "Intel-fan" had become unbearable small and the temperatures were quickly on the limit in auto-overclocking.
Compared to other manufacturers, where you have quite a bit of fumbling and everything somehow does not fit properly, Noctua is a dream. Just the packaging with separate mounting kits and the instructions already create trust, not to mention the support on the Web site where you can check on Kompatibilitslisten which storage fit under the cooler.
Installation is compared to the other manufacturers quickly out of hand. Everything fits and is thought out to the last. One can also not the motherboard through the screw destroy or overtighten the screws.
I have the Lufter run at 900 rev / min (barely audible) and he does not come about 62 degrees (core temperature Core Temp) under full load. A Dream.
On the subject of memory compatibility: I have installed also contrary to the compatibility list, the high (with cooling fins provided) Corsair memory. The fit is not when the heatsink extends over the RAM slots. But I have the thermal module installed so that the ends of the heatpipes pointing upwards and thus the heat sink does not extend over the memory banks. First, so that the cooling is (measured) even better and the high memory match (at least with my board) in the banks.
The only "disadvantage" of the memory is its height. You should consider very carefully whether that fits into the case. In my HAF Tower is sufficient space and in comparison to other high-end Noctua fans this is here relatively "flat" but in Midi-Tower kanns already be tight. :)
I would and will at any time reelect Noctua. 5 stars because everything fits!
