I have my first comparisons between the King, the Metabones (Mark III & IV) and even the Commlite looked at and came to the conclusion that I buy the cheap Commlite. I was aware that I could have problems with the autofocus. The A7s is anyway mainly a camera for the film, and thus is the manual focus my drug of choice. Crucial was the frequent complaints about internal reflections because Commlite have used too strong a reflective material for the adapter inside. That can not confirm at least I. The interior has a Metabones-like "corrugated" structure, which does not seem very reflexive. Even after shooting with a clear backlit because I could not detect any unusual lensflares. The S-Log2 gamma curve brings a very nice dynamic range at the correct post-production.
In fact, the adapter sits close to the bayonet and in particular the objective side you have to spend a lot of force to secure the lens. But it seems to me still in the frame and even after several lens changing everything seems fine. The electronic iris control also works with my old Canon EF 80-200mm 2.8L.
Fault is only with me the long shipping time by me about two weeks. Shipping is with the HongKong post and for me was not traceable, although a tracking number was there.
