This device provides a truly comprehensive features at a fairly low price. It includes a DSL modem, wireless router and switch, so to speak three devices in one, plus USB ports. Very good, I like the guest-wireless function with the possibility of these secured graded to operate separately. Thus one can separate wireless password to his (untrusted) Guest forgive without compromising its own network or the local devices. The device runs here on a T-Online ADSL connection via ISDN (Annex B), however, has also been the possibility of the operation of all-IP connections DTAG without Splitter (Annex J). The modem part also leaves off when needed, so that it is possible to use the device as a pure (wireless) router.
-a Star deduction's for completely held in English administration interface and very very terse printed Quick Installation Guide. Who does not know exactly what he has to do, could get a little problems with it yet. A CD with Flash animations for installation resolve is now somewhat anachronistic. -The Cable to the splitter is unfortunately fallen somewhat short.
The firmware currently seems quite common to need an update. On the manufacturer's website should therefore look even know if the new device may have not an outdated firmware. The update via a Cat5 cable went absolutely smoothly within 2 minutes vonstatten. The settings previously made has retained the device.
