Lenovo N581 and Ubuntu - almost without problems

I bought the N581, to use it with Linux. Has been installed on a USB stick Ubuntu 12:10 in the 64bit version. The installation had only one problem: I had available at installation time and no wireless LAN connection worked * not * out of the box. The problem is quite a new controller from Atheros: AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet. The WiFi worked but now, therefore, be (Broadcom BCM4313 chip) an installation with WLAN without any problems should be carried out.

In order to use the LAN connection, the ALX module compat-wireless must be installed ([...]), this procedure must be repeated after every kernel update.

In addition to the LAN problem I have a problem that I can not turn on Bluetooth, but as I do not necessarily need it, that's bearable.

Overall, a relatively well-supported notebook with small defects, so 4.5 star, rounded mathematically.
