- Optics: I find the beats very stylish - in the color combination red / black they are reasonably discreet. But let's face it: no beats headphones is really subtle ... a matter of taste. The bow and the glossy plastic are ideal if you have time to leave a fingerprint at the crime scene. Every single bravely leaves a distinct mark.
- Comfort: a clear strength of the beats. Overall, pleasantly light for the size. The earcups are very soft and enclose my rather large spoon easily. Can you wear for hours.
- Sound: Well ... here to show light and shadow. First of all you can hear in quiet passages a noise by the Active Noise Cancelling - but what good does the job. Ambient noise is filtered well - therefore bothers me not at all that.
When Musikperformance my impressions are very ambivalent: the bass, especially in electronic music are very tired, soft and well balanced - the kicks and fun! The centers, especially of course when votes are neat but not outstanding.
The beats are relatively weak when it comes to acoustic, handmade music. Here they tend something to muddy the sound, which has slightly disappointed me (eg classical / JS Bach, singer / songwriter stuff). In addition, the shield is to the outside medium volume improvement, if you are not on the plane / train / bus wants to annoy their fellow human beings.
Handling: the identification plate on wired remote control works perfectly with Apple products, micro to call is fully in order. Addendum: The discussion of whether headphones are a status symbol or not, I give myself. Comparable competitors are not much cheaper (Bose, AKG, ...) - but the fact remains that one rather to lay no understatement among the public with these headphones.
