The box makes at first sight a good impression. Through the use of Android, the user has a very wide range of software available. A weak point is the creepy method for firmware upgrade. My intention when purchasing 802.11n was the video Stremaing via Wifi. Unfortunately, the supplied box seems to support only 802.11b / g. 802.11n is not displayed in the settings and a Wifi Managing App. The streaming of HD videos over wifi works therefore limited. With MP4 there are occasional dropouts. The streaming of recorded DVB-S2 Videos (Ts) does not work at. Video streaming via laptop via 802.11n works at the same site properly. Local playback via USB stick is perfectly for MP4. In DVB-S2 videos, there are slight stuttering. For video playback, I have the MXPlayer with HW Optimization (NEO X7), VLC or used with HW-optimization. The box is not a performance miracle despite Quad Core and 2GB RAM. Because of the lack of 802.11n support the pits decreases.
Summary:
Flexibility: very good, Wifi 802.11b / g: good WiFi 802.11n: insufficient HD streaming MP4 Wifi: deficient HD streaming Wifi TS: insufficient Local playback MP4: very good Local playback TS: sufficient Firmware update: Poor
