First disappointment: it is supplied as opposed to H7, no pocket.
The first positive surprise: the holder to the H14 will be attached to the bicycle handlebar included!
First impression: Wow! What a great quality. So far, I thought 80 for a headlamp are a lot of money, but when I compare the H14 with the H7, then I wonder why I paid for so much "plastic objects" of H7 50! Nevertheless, of course, 80 great deal of money.
The microcontroller controls is extensive, easy to operate after a short learning period, but somehow superfluous. I've had enough of the "Easy Mode" with two brightness levels and the dimming possibility of completely. Madness is still the Defence light, you hereby granted genuine from everyone!
The dimming speed is a bit too fast for my taste, it could slowly go from Equip, because then you could dim fine.
For testing, I was walking with the H14 in the dark with my dog in the field. The light output is impressive and comparable to that of P14. However, the light distribution is a bad joke. Mottled and with a black dot in the middle like a LED Maglite ... Since I'm used to H7 and P14 better. However, this is also complaining on a high level, because it is easy and is nothing like as the H14, each 10 head lamp can not keep up with it.
Toll is the possibility of the belt or chest pocket and the supplied mounting Verlängerunskabel it. The function as a small ground-level light for the fitting is great, but there could be a downward sloping grid position for it.
On the head, the H14 carries first very pleasant, but catches himself on the biggest band adjustment after 10min massively pressing and disturbing. For jogging my lamp would be too heavy.
Conclusion: Although I am impressed by the quality and performance, I will not keep the H14 because they can much easier H7 alone because of the weight not beat.
