A really comfortable mattresses with low weight and small pack size: Now there is something new on the market! The self-inflating mats me so far had its considerable bulk, the impossibility to pack small and the fact that you can but partly rests on the ground disturbed. The thin mats were too uncomfortable. Exception: Our super thick, durable for years, but also monstrous big and heavy mat of Nordisk. The Thermarest Venture is now a pleasant surprise, because it is really comfortable and soft to firm, depending on the filling, good heat-insulating, wide enough in the large version and weighs only 700g yet in pack size of about a 1l bottle of water. Also in lateral or prone position, the air mattress is comfortable and one is nowhere biting. The slight crackling of the material in movement. is acceptable to me. With Tent and car on the way I would personally always a large, thin Evazote for the protection of the mat and additional insulation and comfort - inferior additional mat or similar. But I particularly like the Thermarest venture that I always do when I am traveling by train and visit friends, the same can bring my guest bed - it fits so the luggage. Despite the price: strong buy recommendation!
