In the small and lightweight Archer gives an extremely luminous, but this small, anytime pocket suitable for heavy-duty flashlight that no comparison with other large LED flashlights shy needs. For immediate purchase is supported by the extremely tightly calculated, reasonable price.
Installed is a XP-G2 Cree LED chip of a maximum power output depending on the power supply and control of a maximum of 521 lumens used. This performance is expected but experience has shown that only briefly reached a 4.2 volt battery RCR123A.
The weight with battery is RCR123A 62g and the length of the Archer 1C 95mm. Compared to the much smaller and thinner Saber 1A with 65mm in length and 20mm in diameter, the Archer looks through the steel ring on the reflector head, the wider annular housing interruptions without ribbing and the rear switch in my view clearly valent or noble.
The visually and technically directly comparable flashlight to Archer 1C is the Archer 1A max. 178 lumens when using a 1.3 volt battery, which is only slightly longer to 110mm, has a belt clip, but with an AA Mignon battery, Alkaline battery or 14500 special battery can operate.
The material wall of the presented 1C by the thicker batteries / accumulators thinner than in the 1A, which is characterized not outwardly look Mignon This selects the format. The outer diameter is 22mm for both models! In addition, both the absolute identical lamp heads and the lower switch parts are mutually interchangeable.
By compared significantly longer form the Archer 1C is due in very well in the hand, while the Saber 1C disappears completely in it.
The scope of supply of Archer 1 C includes a small holster and a couple of rubber seals. Batteries are at once more ThruNite NOT enclosed. The immediate holding is thus may not be immediately possible.
Not every new buyers a LED flashlight has just this special format battery are in store and so may buy a far overpriced battery in the local department store or drug store for up to 8.95 even though over the Internet in packages of ten from 15, - available!
The brightness during operation with a CR123A is very bright and in most cases completely sufficient 281 lumens.
When using a RCR123 batteries, the brightness increases even further. In short amateur measurement with a light meter the lux value from the same Disstanz almost doubled. Exact values as lumens or endurance but have not been determined or announced by the manufacturer.
In the highest setting and running on battery, the temperature of the lamp head rises sharply without that she would heat it. While other manufacturers often announce, which is turned down to a certain burn time from maximum level to protect the torch, there is also no reference in turn so that these experiential, - to determine values, other future users remains reserved.
There are four lighting levels with 0.2 lumens for up to 315 hours, 24 lumens for up to 13 hours, 90 lumens for up to 2.7 hours lumen 281 for up to 1.5 hours and additionally a strobe mode. Of course, the Archer 1C is electronically controlled for as long as possible gleichb body of brightness on the Battier, - battery life.
The operation is known exemplary. Gears are changed using the rear, clean working with kanckigem tactile switch with momentary. By briefly loosening and tightening screws in succession in the on mode, the light level is selected and saved for later use.
The last selected light level is stored until the next use.
The headlight range is an excellent for this size and diameter 296 meters (is actually printed on the packaging and no transposed digits) in accordance with ANSI / NEMA FL1 procedures specify which means that you have a lot far more and for two CR123A or 18650 battery designed LED flashlights rivaled or even this can be far behind!
The voltage range is generous to 4.2 volts designed so that RCR123A- batteries can be used in even higher brightness. When Saber 1A, however, is not recommended for use of batteries due to higher heat development.
As a fan and owner of various light-strongest flashlights Fenix and Nitcore with up to 960 lumens in the tip I would have never thought how small the actual visible difference this presented here and comparable, for similar battery flashlights is tipped yet.
If you hold various flashlights as the 1A, 1C from the same distance with the EA4, P16, T30S, TK22, etc. with the light against a wall, there are differences in diameter of the spot, the light image or the light color; hardly serious but falls on the on the paper so different brightness.
Knowing about these comparisons are not these small flashlights all just excellent bright and rich for most missions from absolutely.
From me there at this low price the absolute best buy!
