The Linux compatibility of this product is --einen current kernel vorausgesetzt-- EXCELLENT!
Under Ubuntu 12.10 Unpacking dranstecken, works!
This is also true for the wireless receiver, which is available as Zubehört.
Under Gnome and KDE is available directly in the Control Panel integrated graphical settings menu for the tablet, who is using other desktops can still make do with the console version.
The only thing that 30 seconds after unpacking did not go with me, was to assign functions to the 4 buttons on top of the Tablet. I'm sure that also works, but there was nothing to get hold within 30 seconds.
For tablet itself:
The design is simple and does not fall further on. Materials and workmanship are absolutely groundbreaking good, but who wants to have it not as a status symbol, but as a commodity, for that's all right. The gaps are not entirely uniform and pen loop on the right side is mediocre useless because very tight, but it also rattles and nothing you do not feel equal to wreck the device when you take it in hand.
Some getting used to in this tablet is the combination of digitizer and touch pad.
Both touchpad (multi-touch), and digitizer with pen function properly and as expected. It is in absolute mode rather difficult to make reliable small buttons on the screen with the stylus, but that is more likely to be due to my shaky hands and is not the hardware to blame.
The only thing that really bothers me is that the tablet instantly recognizes the placed palm as user input and the mouse verreißt once you take the pen too high. That is certainly something that you can unlearn through 2-3 hours of training, but I would have a greater detection height for the pin wished to avoid such a thing. Because the Tablet is so great in particular that you have to move your hand while drawing in between.
On the supplied software I can not say anything, it does not work under Linux. I not also miss.
