After me some recent comments became known that this was changed now, I have again occupied myself with the thought of FireTV. Fittingly, came the promotion campaign with super advantage, which then very easily made my decision.

The Stick comes in a matching color packaging. This includes in addition to the stick HDMI Extender (which is also very useful because the stick needs an external power supply, which is otherwise can sometimes only with difficulty or not join), a remote control, a USB power adapter and 2 batteries for the remote control ,
The included manual is very small - but not really needed.
The stick is connected to the TV (or output device) and power. It follows on the screen a brief introduction to the operation, some queries to the user account that you want to be logged and access to Wi-Fi, where you have to specify the network key. Once the drive has been set up, followed by a brief check for updates, which are then possibly. Directly downloaded and installed separately.
You are in the actual menu and can get started. Interesting addition to the normal access to (Prime) Instant Video connecting other functions from the Amazon offer. So I stood as a prime customer directly present my digital music purchased are available as well as all the photos that I as Prime customer can save for free in the Amazon Cloud.
The menu itself I find self-explanatory. The menu is also within a Help section, in the quasi put the manual in digital form, as well as the detailed introduction video, which already explains the most important functions.
The video playback works flawlessly. Depending on the wireless connection, it can sometimes take a little while, until the video starts, I feel but not as annoying and I've been kind of using my PC as a playback device. It may be that not yet in the full quality of the direct start of playback, but that resolves within the first 10 seconds. The phenomenon can I watch on my PC.
Subjectively I feel the transmission quality with the stick as better than the PC. I have this to say that my Internet connection is in terms of speed in the lower limit range for HD transmission. With the result that I am on the PC so far mostly switched to SD playback, since the HD playback jerky regularly and the movie experience intolerable negative impact.
When Stick this Phäneomen does not seem to occur. On TV I see a razor-sharp image without any stuttering or dropouts. Nice touch compared to the PC use is also the polling function for more information on the actors (X-Ray).
All in all I am very happy and really excited about this stick.
Prime Instant Video and normal are clearly separated. Third-party apps can be installed or pre-installed (eg Netflix or various media libraries of television stations). Although games are possible, but for me not relevant gimmicks - to play I have a PC with games ^^ I assume however times that of the stick but then quickly comes to its limits here ...
When I rang before critical, I have two criticisms points:
1. The external USB power supply is poorly regulated. The USB port is located at the side, which leads to problems when used with other ports. While the Extender resolves this issue, but would be a solution without USB power or at least with a USB port on the HDMI port opposite end of the stick in my opinion meaningful.
2. It lacks a connection for the external sound, for example. on the home theater system. I have no HDMI port on my (old) Dolby Digitial system, possibly this problem occurs so on newer systems with free HDMI port is not on. So I can use the stick only with the built-in TV speakers, which the film experience but then restricts something.
However, when I look at the price of the stick and the otherwise excellent functionality and quality, I can even with the regular price of 39, - here no more than a maximum give half a star deduction. The product I was even able to acquire even much cheaper thanks to promotion, is for me here no doubt make a full 5 star rating.
