With the HDMI input so the device allows shooting at up to 1080p. It saves the recording to an externally connected hard drive (not included) in .mp4 format. Then connect the drive to the computer, SmartTV or Media Player and watch the recording.
The shots are super clear, as the original image. No stuttering or distortion.
But not only gameplay can be taken with it, but also normal television broadcasts and even dubbing of old video tapes from VCR thanks to the analog connections (RCA, component video cable). The adapter cable is included in the delivery.
I have a 1TB Samsung 2.5 "HDD USB 3.0 connected to the device and am very happy with it. A SSD or SSHD here is not worth it, because they are still overpriced.
I once calculated and received at a resolution of 720p at 30fps on the 1TB hard plate 149 hours of video. That's more than enough.
Positives:
- Takes in 720p or 1080p on
- Can be both digital and analog signals recognized.
- Small, compact device
- Comes me enough cable accessories.
- Supports USB 3.0
- Support NTFS formatting
Negatives:
- No playback function
- No remote control
- No network connection / WiFi
- No HDCP decryption (can be bypassed but)
