Several interesting features and benefits:
- Configuration very, very easy: the instructions provided in French is very clear and everything works the first time;
- The unit can be used as wireless relay, to increase the range of your Wi-Fi router;
- It can also act as an access point: it can transform a wired connection via Wi-Fi signal and turn a Wi-Fi signal wired (eg if your computer or Blu-ray player or not has .. not wireless).
- When used as a wireless repeater, the display on the device is very useful. The various witnesses specifically say if you have to bring the main router or repeater if you can still bring it closer to the farthest from the router device you want to connect to it. The color LEDs also indicates the received and transmitted signal.
Note that all these features are absent from the other two repeaters before I bought this one (a D-Link and Belkin), which cost 30 and 60 (I paid it 29.99 in April 2015 )
In short, buy Netgear is reliable.
