Design and processing:
Visually, the Russell Hobbs 21290-56 Legacy is quite used to. He's sort of a retro model that commemorates the 60th anniversary. Unfortunately the toaster not made of matt metal is how it looks in the photos, but in polished stainless steel that shines like a mirror and thus does not correspond to my taste. What is also not noticeable in the photos of the asymmetric cut of the toaster slots (they are not placed in the center) which also means that the warming rack on one side is higher than on the other and we therefore have to make sure how to set it. The shape of the tower is also strange, which can be an advantage if you want to even very small baking bread etc.. For me personally the article is a bit too low, because the toasted bread with the rocketing it comes (I toast sometimes for baking parallel).
The control buttons are arranged as most common side and made of black plastic. This could have been solved quality. In short use the toaster at the sides is only slightly warm. If one uses it several times in succession, then the stainless steel housing heats up a bit more and you should be careful. This is also true from the outset for the top and the essay after use.
Preparation and cleaning:
Before the first use with food, I let the toaster run only once empty and smelled only times unpleasant. But already in the second stage that was gone. I clean the device without any problems with a damp cloth. The crumbs can be disposed on the side crumb tray.
THE TOAST:
The toaster does what it should: it provides toasted bread.
The toaster slots are advertised as extra wide and are also compared to age-old models. Compared to my previous toaster that does not stand out. The toast slots are certainly big enough for sandwich slices. At level 3.5 but I have already produced an equal approach of charcoal in the first round. This is just the middle step. In stage 3 the result was fine. The tanning is much darker than the edge and also on one side darker than it on the other in the middle of the slice of toast. That's better!
Quick but the toaster is in fact, but actually I'd rather wait a minute longer, and have for a regular tanning. There is a stop button and a defrost.
Overall, I find the Russell Hobbs 21290-56 Legacy Compact Toaster disappointing and especially for this price not in a good relationship. I would highly recommend if you are absolutely convinced of the design, which unfortunately is not the case with me it only.
