If you're looking on a busy street quiet music enjoyment is well served with the headphones. I tested the headphones on the balcony at passing cars on cobblestones, the quiet was almost spooky. It also still top crystal clear sound. The noise floor partially described I think is negligible even at quieter piano music, and I'm really sensitive.
