I've already bought several Platinum Double Layer blanks with different burn rate. 2.4 times, 4 times and 8 times now. Somehow I had because of the low price compared to brand blanks (Verbatim, etc.) the hope that they hold someday deliver what they promise. These blanks I had but just asking for trouble. My Pioneer DVR-115 and an LG burner (the friend), I could not convince these blanks correctly (!) To burn. When anfürsich good Pioneer he burned the disc with 2.4 times speed. At first I thought wonderful, but while reading it was on the second layer so many mistakes error (with Nero Speed CD / DVD) that the data in the normal copying in Windows Explorer could not be saved 100%. I think that's pretty pathetic! It may be that this normal blank with any burner works, but the risk I will not go or I do not want to pay by dues! Therefore, you prefer to buy Verbatim blanks, because the work within the specifications perfectly, without errors and have taken the first place in the Computer Bild test.
