"Suddenly Prince - The fate of the Fairies" by Julie Kagawa is as always a brilliant sequel. So awesome that me this second volume has even fallen much better than tape. 1
I can not stress that Julie Kagawa simply knows how to write good YA series. Is no matter how much time between her books, you always have the feeling of having never been away. As a button takes the Take Ernie and everything that goes with it, shape and enchants the reader anew.
The only problem I had with the legacy of the fairies was indeed the one, the fact that I had the characters from the series Suddenly Fee sorely missed, and secondly, that I should see it from the perspective of Ethan with different eyes. Both "problems" were this time barely noticeable, which of course has increased my reading pleasure immensely.
Generally, I was much better cope with Ethan, who slowly but surely becomes friends with the thought that he is part of the Take Ernie himself. I particularly like of course, that he is about to make his peace with Meghan. He also comes now stronger Faerie conflicts out, instead of being pull down of the whole.
Kenzie is still a little highlight! It is always amazing how natural her dealings with the fairies, but there is probably an advantage if you have "nothing" to lose. Unfortunately, her illness has caused conflicts that were on the one hand totally understandable, but on the other hand completely übetrieben. I understand that Kenzie will decide on the rest of their lives themselves and that they then just do not want to be treated like a fragile doll of Ethan, but Ethan's fear of loss are just as justified as their wishes, so I could not completely support at a certain point ,
Kierran is the big surprise and the reason for so many problems. I had thought in the first volume that he will still provide some surprises, but this development I would have not expected - although it is of course absolutely logical in hindsight. But all I do not want to reveal too!
The story follows on seamlessly from its predecessors, which is of course enormously facilitates entry. It is at once in the middle and can not believe how quickly goes off the next adventure. On one hand, this is of course a great thing, but on the other hand had Ethan and Kenzie really almost just to remain in the Record Ernie.
In other reviews I've read that the Take Ernie fabric is maxed out slowly, what I absolutely can not understand. Kagawa may just inspire me to uncover new areas of the fairy world and I am pretty sure that the possibilities are endless in this area. In addition, of course, that one simply feels at home in all its fairy-books, what is being supported by the fact that sometimes is taken up once well known.
Either way, it is never boring. Our heroes rush from one adventure to another always with the respective big goal in mind. You never know quite what is expected and a surprise so repeatedly.
Conclusion:
Julie Kagawa "Suddenly Prince - The fate of the Fairies" is how just about every book of the author, been a little highlight once again. One hat as a reader the feeling of having never been away, and so at least I felt right at home again. My little problems that I still had the first band here formally dissolved into thin air and so this novel was once again the purest pleasure. As always, a clear recommendation: 5/5 books!
