"Yes, but .." things will not proceed as planned.
The novel is fairly scrappy on the first 240 pages: it was more like reading a book of short stories than a true novel.
When finally Miss Alabama jumps into the water, the novel is gaining consistency and structure.
The secondary characters are rather endearing, heroin for its lacks some depth in my opinion .. but it's probably a way to convey the idea that it does not want to exist.
There are some funny parts, a lot of tenderness and -hélas- few times downright cuculs (if I may say so).
The general atmosphere is pleasantly mild, despite the rather serious matter.
An entertaining read for all ... but not only: If you have a loved one that you feel tangent, do not hesitate to make him read this novel all aid even small .. uh ... can help.
In conclusion: entertaining read about a serious subject / good complementary treatment in the suicide prophylaxis.

Note to the editor to: The cover is very nice but a little hard to take the subway when you're a man ...
