Noticed is pleasant to me - I would like to mention here right before I go into installation, workflow and the individual features of the product - that MAGIX here to se already with 50 Euro priced fairly well established software in the sense of "completion" a USB adapter attaches, which is quite reasonable. This saves the hassle to buy an adapter and completes the product noticeably.
The installation:
Who MAGIX knows who knows also that MAGIX products are always associated with a compulsory registration and that they are almost always bundled with third-party products that are partially - expressed friendly - "their own head" have or have "momentum". In this case, it is among other things the "Ask! Toolbar", which, however, (it must be said "to save the honor") now also with an official update of Java Runtime Oracle and dozens of other "established" software products make their way to the computers of end-user searches. MAGIX is not there alone. But of course it could even be a manufacturer who does not jump up here on the moving train ...
Especially stupid in this context: Who wants to install components such as the Toolbar NOT who must explicitly hooking. Just In Time "by flitting" and make sure that hook "not set" are - like me even as a professional ITler every now and then do it - so ends here in the installation of unwanted product. Evil to him who thinks evil ;-)
In the end, I can only advise every user, in general (and not just in this product) always do to the "custom install" and the few snags that put you or place can be considered accurate. You drive so always better; even if certain things certainly for Bohemian villages keeps (one more tip: always prefer to install the components NOT doubt - post-installation you can almost always).

Therefore, a 2 hour movie will once need two hours for the pure transmission or recording. Ergo: Wait until the recording finished (had to be always closed manually with me). Then you have the raw data on his computer and can work with them to save in a final step, and then again ... long ... waiting. The wait time depends on this final step directly from memory, processor, etc. pp. the used computer from which here at MAGIX experience has shown with "Much brings much" sometime conclusion is because the software does not ausreizt everything you their offers. At least, the Music Maker and other programs that I have tested. So you will always have to factor latency.
Digitize their video collection is so - you have already guessed - connected to a quite a time-consuming, especially since - as "Conny Guillermo" (CG) in her / his review already notes - no batch is possible. So you can not say "just take only times Volume 1, then Volume 2, Volume 3 ... and do it beautifully succession". Again, significant limitations are the "on the fly digitize" set. However one must when recording (if you want them) See "live" once the old recording. To check not bad - but hooked here (CG had already noted) every now and then the sound. Why? No Idea. However, it seems to happen quite times.

When saving to the hard disk only available as a WMV file format. Who really wants to use compressed formats, which must then also lend a hand and with a video converter program (there are also several freeware on the net) in a "smaller" format convert.

Who does not stores directly frustrated by the long wait, which gets the ability to improve with a few clicks video and audio - but waiting time is again involved. Even with menus for DVDs and Blurays and with intros and outros can aufhübschen especially old amateur recordings of eg family celebrations here. All in all, nice features when you need them for. MAGIX has operated here for this product clearly with other products from the same company and they "installed" in a stripped-down form. Very nice if you consider that it has indeed actually the first step as a customer "only" simple digitization in mind.
At the "inclusive" product "Video & Photo Show Nachvertonungsarchiv 8" I have to say that I still want to make smart when it comes to licensing. Usually it is at MAGIX so that you may use the offered audio and video material free private. But once you get to show off in public, or any remotely sense "professional" background comes into play, the kompletet material must usually be licensed in accordance with costs. Usually there is then license packages for that you have to buy from third parties. As I said: If I find something here, I will in this regard or supplement information.
In conclusion I must say that this rudimentary, but at least (compared to others) functioning digitization solution is quite nice, but do not tear off the stool. I let consciously even the somewhat dubious practices when installing (third-party software, compulsory registration, etc.) aside, because I just know this behavior by other manufacturers, and focus on the pure product: Anyone who "just quickly quickly" something wants to achieve or comfortable digitize larger quantities, which will be possibly disappointed. Here is some of (waiting) time in the game. That will indeed be supported similar with other manufacturers, but by example, the restriction on the save in WMV format, it may be additionally frustrating, because the end result possibly "very large" falls also in the category and not in with standard tools afterwards (ie after saving) can revise.
I swing due to the ease of use and the price (you have here basically 15-20 euros alone expect the adapter out) between neutral and 3 good 4 stars. One may here be argued that as Vine-reviewer nothing had paid for the product, but I have to say that the software component would be my example as a gift for my father-quite 30 euros worth. Why? Because I know that he would thus achieve useful results without having to make a large head and because I furthermore, know that he is used as a longtime user of "Photo-DVD" programs very different waiting times.
