For some tender plants and trees, the wire is securely gentler than the usual bare wire or wires with hard plastic casing.
The thicker version is softer and this I use for fixation eg for young trees whose bark you want to protect as well as possible from injury.
Unfortunately, the softness of the sheath loses something with the time and the rubbery consistency is probably UV and weather conditions harder.
So that I would be at the point of criticism that I would also like for the sake of reusability and sustainability a longer shelf life of the first perfect consistency. That this does not meet the interests of a manufacturer-paragraph is clear to me. With an eco-friendly degradable material I could accept it without compromising.
Because of the higher price, and environmentally friendly as possible, I use still where the classic alternatives binder twine or raffia.
Buy recommendation, but a luxury of not necessarily everywhere is necessary.
