Rapid information on my Macbook:
13-inch, Aluminum, end of 2008
Processor = 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory = (before) 2GB 1066MHz DDR3, now 8 GB
Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB =
Software = OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)
It was said that the Macbook Aluminum "only" could upgrade to 6GB of RAM. Bullshit.
The GeForce 9400M chipset marks the beginning of support for 8 or more GB of RAM (more is, however, not the aluminum Macbook).
End 2009. EFI update was published, which just allows the recognition and use of 8GB RAM in aluminum Macbook. Because this update is already back 4 years, you have probably already there. To make sure you go as follows:
- Click on the Apple in the top left
> About This Mac
> Width information
> System Report
Now you should in the Hardware Overview stand (the first window), at Boot ROM Version:
MB51.007D.BO3
If that's the case, then you can buy calms the memory!
If not: Apple, this update is still on: [...]
Hope I could help a bit!
Have Fun!
